Minecraft 1.19's First Snapshot Is Live

We thought it would be a while off however, Mojang has announced that Minecraft 1.19 is now available to download. As  https://irc101.org/  as you're not afraid to dig into a very experimental beta version, that is. Minecraft: Java Edition Players has the first beta version of 1.19. This allows you to explore the Deep Dark and interact with the Warden.

The official website provides more information about how to install the snapshot. However there's no possibility of opening old worlds. You'll have to create an entirely new one and it's unlikely you'll be able carry any worlds that you've played on the snapshot to the next level to future versions of the game.

This snapshot does not include all features that are planned for 1.19, also called the Wild update. However, it includes the Deep Dark biome and the Ancient City biomes, as in addition to sculk blocks and the quick sneak enchantment.

Once you start playing with the new features though, bear in mind that this is still an 'experimental' snapshot. That means that the devs are still testing the way these systems work, so any particular feature is subject to major tweaks going forward.
